Delete your account and data
Last updated:
You can delete your account yourself from inside the app, or ask us to do it. Below is exactly what gets deleted and what stays.
Deleting from the app
This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately:
- Open Tan and sign in
- Go to Profile
- Choose "Delete account" and confirm
Your session ends the moment you confirm, and the same phone number can no longer be used to sign back in.
Requesting deletion by email
If you no longer have access to the app, email us at the address below and include the phone number the account is registered with.
Because the phone number is what identifies an account, we may need to confirm the number is yours before we act on the request.
We handle these requests within 30 days of receiving them.
What is deleted
Everything personal attached to the account is erased or anonymised:
- First and last name, phone number and email address
- Saved addresses and templates
- Saved cards — card numbers are never stored by the app at all; what is destroyed is the token issued by the payment provider
- Notifications and push notification tokens
- Other profile fields — city, language, avatar, vehicle
What is kept, and why
Orders, payments and reviews remain, but de-identified — they no longer show who you were.
There are two reasons. A completed delivery and its payment are the other party’s record as much as yours: a courier’s earnings, or a sender’s history, should not vanish. And financial records have to be retained to meet legal and accounting obligations.
None of what remains is linked to your identity.
